WHSCL State Finals - Volunteers

Schedule

• 8:45am—9:00am Volunteer Check-in and Breakfast
• 9:00am—9:45am Volunteer Orientation in Yoga Room (mandatory)
• 9:45am—10:00am Competition Overview & Rules with all Competitors (mandatory)
• 10:00am—1:00pm Qualifiers (mandatory) 
• 1:00pm—2:00pm Volunteer Lunch (optional)
• 1:15pm—Volunteer Raffle (optional)
• 2:00pm—Finals & Awards (optional)

Roles/Responsibilities

Volunteers will be asked to help score and judge our high school students, as they climb. The climbs will consist of both Top Rope Routes and Boulder Problems. Volunteers need to arrive to the gym by 8:45am for check-in. Volunteer Orientation will start promptly at 9:00am.
We utilize an online scoring system, which requires judges to use a phone or tablet to enter scores. Please show up with a fully charged smart device, with a working camera.

Age Requirement

The minimum age requirement is 14 years-old, meaning that any high school students who are not competing in the comp are welcome to sign up as a volunteer. Other than students, we are looking for anyone from parents, to friends, to family!

Experience & Training

No experience necessary! The WHSCL Rulebook, the WHSCL Rules Video, and the WHSCL Scoring App Tutorial are linked here, for your reference. A mandatory, in-person training will be held at Adventure Rock Milwaukee at 9:00am on the day of the competition.
