Sleepover + Merit Badge
Adventure Rock’s Sleepover + Merit Badge group event is designed to support scout troops in completing the requirements for the Climbing Merit Badge in a structured and supervised environment. Participants receive instruction from a Certified Climbing Wall Instructor who will teach essential skills, including equipment use, knot tying, top-rope belaying, rappelling, and principles such as Leave No Trace and the Outdoor Code. Following the instructional portion, scouts are invited to stay overnight at the facility, which is reserved exclusively for their use after public hours.
Sleepover + Merit badge details:
- Arrival Times:
- Merit Badge participants: 6 PM
- Sleepover-only participants: 8 PM
- Event Duration: Until 8 AM the next day
- Dinner: Provided (pizza)
- Breakfast: Not included (fridge and freezer available for personal breakfast or snacks)
Pricing:
- Deposit of $755 – Covers the first 15 participants
- Covers the first 8 Merit Badge participants
- Covers the first 7 Sleepover-only participants
Additional Participants:

Chaperones: we ask for there to be a ratio of 1 chaperone to every 8 climbers. If any chaperones exceed this ratio then they will be charged $10 per additional chaperone.
Participant Requirements
- Must be at least 11 years old to participate in the merit badge

A completed visitor agreement is required for all participants under the age of 18.

Forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Closed-toed shoes are required for all climbers. Climbing shoes are available to rent for an additional fee.

Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. Beverages are also available for purchase on-site.

Each participant should bring a sleeping bag and any personal items needed for an overnight stay.
